Such an amazing experience.

Such a cute lovely place. As an artist it’s important for me to be in a beautiful colorful place and Kisiewa house looks better in person than in pictures. It’s clean, the room and bathrooms are so spacious with a mix of modern decoration mixed with old zanzibari aesthetics. The free breakfast was so fresh and delicious and the staff were so welcoming and kind. If I make it back to Zanzibar I will be staying here

Lovely stay!

A lovely small boutique hotel, with a lovely big room and bathroom including a bath! Right on the heart of Stone Town, very close to the harbour where you can get a boat to the various island. Staff exceptional, breakfast lovely, evening meal delicious with live local music. Highly recommend.

Lived my best life at Kisiwa on the Beach!!

Absolutely incredible. If you’re reading this and trying to decide where to stay in Zanzibar, just book Kisiwa on the Beach. Seriously.

From the moment I arrived, I felt completely taken care of. The property is absolutely beautiful, impeccably maintained, and delivers a true luxury experience without ever feeling pretentious. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully designed.

The beach is breathtaking, and I don’t think I’ve ever felt sand this soft in my life. It honestly feels like powder. I spent my days resting, relaxing, and soaking up the beauty, and it was exactly the reset I needed.

What really made the stay exceptional, though, was the staff. Every single person I interacted with was genuinely kind, attentive, and eager to help. They anticipated needs before I even had to ask and made me feel so welcome throughout my stay.

As a solo female traveler, I also felt incredibly safe, which meant I could fully relax and enjoy every moment.

This was one of those places that makes it easy to slow down, breathe, and simply enjoy being where you are. I would return in a heartbeat and will absolutely recommend Kisiwa on the Beach to anyone visiting Zanzibar.

Kisiwa is a beautiful small boutique hotel located on the beach.
I cannot fault anything about this place.
Rooms clean, comfortable & beautifully decorated.
The restaurant is fabulous, food delicious. An a la carte menu offered on most nights. Every course cooked & prepared to a very high standard.
Pristine landscaped gardens, attended to all day long.
Pool & beach area, clean & attended to.
Waiters, waitresses, gardeners and cleaning staff friendly & polite.
Managers walking round to talk to guests. Making sure everyone was happy.
Nothing was to much trouble.
We had a fabulous Swahili tea ceremony, hosted by a delightful waitress, Lydia. She was so lovely.
